Important Notice - 30th March 2022

Unfortunately we are experiencing some extraordinarily tough times at Clarkson Surgery, due to 2 of our full time GPs on long term sick leave, Dr Ibreck leaving in June, and the inability to recruit to our current vacancies. So after a lot of consideration we have applied to the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to close our list for 12 months. This would mean that we would not register any new patients during this period. I would really appreciate your thoughts and comments on this, as we need to consult widely as this may impact on the Wisbech population and limiting choice when selecting a GP Surgery. Please would you email your comments to clarksonsurgery@nhs.net by Friday 8th April.

Visiting our practice? Please continue to wear a face covering and social distance

All of our COVID-19 secure measures remain in place and this will not change when Government guidance changes on 19 July 2021.

Patients are asked to continue to wear a face covering, unless they are exempt, and to follow social distancing when visiting our GP Practice.

This follows the national Infection Prevention Control (IPC) Guidance for all healthcare settings and will help to ensure the safety of our staff and patients at all times.

Thank you for your continued support.

Please be kind to our staff

Staff at our practice are working extremely hard and doing their best to make sure patients are safe.

Over the last 18 months, the practice has been supporting the pandemic response and ensuring our patients are able to get their COVID-19 vaccinations, at the same time as continuing to deliver primary care services.

This has made our GP practice very busy and our staff have been working incredibly hard to keep services open for patients.

We’re aware patients may have experienced longer wait times on the phone or for their appointment, but we have been working hard to ensure you receive the right treatment from the right person at the right time.

We have increased the number of telephone and online appointments available, so our patients don’t always have to come to the practice. We also employ a range of highly trained staff, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics and healthcare assistants who are able to deal with a range of medical conditions, which will help patients get treated sooner.

Whether your appointment is over the telephone, via an online video consultation, or face-to-face, patients will always receive the same high quality standard of care from our practice team.

So please, if you contact our practice, be kind.

Thank you for your patience and support

The Clarkson Surgery is open but you must contact the surgery to discuss your requirements before you arrive.  Do not enter the building unless you have been asked to do so.

If you have been asked to come to the surgery, you must wear a mask, scarf or some other face covering. Due to shortage of stock, we are unable to give out masks to every patient.

Please be patient when collecting your prescriptions, we are all doing our best to try and help in this difficult situation.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, how you contact us will be different at the moment. This is to limit face-to-face contact whenever possible and help stop the spread of coronavirus.

Your GP practice is open and if you need to see your GP, please ring us on 01945 583133  – Click here for our opening hours

You can also call NHS 111. Please do not come to the surgery unless you have an appointment.

If you are waiting for a check-up, please be assured we will be in touch.

Appointments are being delivered face-to-face, online and over the telephone. If you are asked to come into the surgery for a face-to-face appointment, please remember to wear a face covering. Measures are in place to keep you safe from infection during your visit to the surgery.

This website has been designed to tell you about the practice and the services that we offer. Please read it carefully. We trust that you will find it helpful and informative.
