COVID-19 Vaccination programme – update
We have now vaccinated thousands of our local patients and are so grateful to all of our staff and the local volunteers whose hard work, support and dedication has enabled us to help deliver the vaccine to our patients.
The vaccine programme has now entered phase 3. As part of this phase people most at risk of COVID-19 will be offered a booster vaccination, after at least six months have passed since their second dose. Currently those aged 50 or over, people aged 16-49 with a health condition that puts them more at risk of COVID-19, and frontline health and social care workers are eligible to receive the booster.
If you are eligible to have your booster vaccine, our practice will contact you to invite you to an appointment at our local GP-led hub when it is the right time for you to have your booster dose.
If you would prefer to book your booster appointment at one of the large scale vaccination centres or community pharmacies in our area, you can do so by using the National Booking Service via www.nhs.uk/covidvaccine or by calling 119. You can only use the National Booking Service once at least six months have passed since your second dose.
